CLOAK.
A Photography Series
Before my paintings, I began taking photos and making videos. The Cloak was my first photographic series that sprung from many different influences. From Virgil's red cloak in Dantes Inferno to the Santa Muerte. The cloak represents a guarding angel that follows you throughout your day. I love its juxtaposition to many of the environments I place it in, in a way It's a form of storytelling through photos. If it wasn't for my exploration of this subject I might have never gained an interest in surrealism. This series still continues and I hope to have an exhibition dedicated to it.
